Claims
- Claim Coordination
-
Ruhl & Ruhl has a full-time claim coordinator who will assist you in the proper
filing of your claims, as well as following up to make certain your interests
are being covered. Please call us about questionable compensable workers'
compensation or other claims. Let us know if you have concerns as to the
settlement offers you have received. Many negotiations are between you and your
insurance company…should something not "feel right", call us, please. We can't
help you if we don't know about a concern.
- Investigate Prospective Employees' Prior Claims
-
We can help you investigate a potential employee's prior workers' compensation
claim, motor vehicle records, credit records, criminal records, etc. We can
access a service which will provide you this information. With the
discrimination laws now applicable, please see what your attorney says, but the
service is available for a nominal charge through Ruhl & Ruhl.
- Monitor Claims
-
Our claim coordinator monitors your claims to be sure they are handled in a
timely and professional manner. Claim are followed-up in an orderly fashion.
However, if you have any question at any time, she will be able to get them
answered. She will keep you "out of the middle". Call her, not the carrier. She
will be your middle-man, "translator".
- Monitor Reserves
-
Because, over time, claims affect your insurance premiums and potentially your
ultimate costs, it is important reserves be monitored and kept as low as
possible. Losses do affect your premiums for all coverages, not only your
workers' compensation. We try to be sure your reserves are appropriate and
questions adjusters as to their accuracy.
- Pro-Active Claims
-
Ruhl & Ruhl takes a very pro-active approach to your claims. After all, claims
are why you buy insurance. We want your claims to be paid and serviced in the
manner which makes you comfortable and is in your best interest.
- Questionable Claims
-
Please make our coordinator aware (verbally) of claims you may question as to
accuracy. Your account executive is notified weekly of all your incidents and
can request additional information. So what ? Should subrogation rights be
pursued? Should we deny liability?
